Six lucky winners will have John Corcoran, author of, The Teacher Who Couldn't Read, recite their favorite poems in a Youtube video to be released December 4, 2012. Winners and video will be released December 4, 2012. John is a nationally recognized literacy advocate who did not learn to read until the age of forty-eight. His memoir, The Teacher Who Couldn't Read, catapulted him into the national spotlight as a champion for those who linger in the sub-culture of illiteracy. Corcoran's second book, Bridge to Literacy: No Child - or Adult - Left Behind is a powerful call to action to eliminate the illiteracy still prevalent in America.
